black gun

The Glock 34 is one of the competition-oriented models in Glock’s 9x19mm lineup. Although similar to the standard full-sized Glock 17, the G34 features an extended barrel (5.31”) and slide, giving it an overall length of 8.82” and making it a relatively large handgun, which is more challenging to conceal than most other models on the Glock catalog.

Although this platform was designed primarily to be a precision shooting firearm for competition shooting sports, choosing the correct holster can help you turn it into an everyday carry firearm. Here are our recommendations for the Glock 34 & Glock 34 MOS, its red dot sight-ready variant.

Options for IWB Carry

If you’re looking to conceal a large handgun such as the Glock 34 inside the waistband (IWB), you need a high-quality concealment-oriented Kydex holster. The Incognito Concealment T3 is constructed from 0.08” sheets of Kydex, providing the best balance of durability and concealability.

The T3 holster is available with a 1.5” or 1.75” polymer belt attachment clip, compatible with most gun belts on the market. If you want to use the T3 as an appendix holster, it is available with an AIWB modwing, helping reduce printing issues and improve comfort.

Although IWB carrying the Glock 34 means sacrificing some draw speed to increase the level of concealment, this gun holster features an adjustable retention screw, allowing you to configure how tightly or loosely your holster shell retains your firearm until you can achieve the optimal draw stroke.

Carrying the Glock 34 OWB

An OWB holster is one of the most comfortable holsters for large handguns such as the Glock 34. However, OWB carry isn’t just for duty holsters (e.g., police and military) or use in a competition holster. With the right product and choice of cover garments, you can also use an OWB holster as a concealment holster.

The Incognito Concealment Venture is a versatile OWB open-top holster made using the same type of 0.08” Kydex sheets as our T3, making it suitable for use as a covert holster. The custom-molded retention shell is specifically designed to match the dimensions of the long Glock 34 slide, resulting in a perfect fit and retention.

If your Glock 34 is fitted with a Glock MOS plate and a red dot sight, you can order a version of the Venture with an optic cut. This modification cuts some holster material over your slide where your sight would sit, making this holster compatible with both the standard Glock 34 and the Glock 34 MOS without compromising weapon retention.

Paddle Holsters: An Alternative OWB Carry Option

A paddle holster is a type of OWB holster that does not require a gun belt to wear. Instead of belt loops, the paddle holster gets its name from the large paddle attachment behind the holster shell.

When inserted into the pants, the paddle employs friction to stay in place, allowing you to draw your gun without pulling the holster up with it during the draw stroke. Although they are more convenient to wear than belt-riding OWB holsters, they have a thicker profile, making them slightly less concealable.

If you need a paddle holster for your Glock 34, the Incognito Concealment ST7-PRO is an excellent choice. The open-top “taco” styled holster design provides complete coverage of the trigger guard while facilitating ease of draw, making it ideal for everyday carry or competition shooting.

If you carry a Glock 34 for personal protection, our Incognito Concealment Stash single IWB magazine carrier is ideal for carrying an additional Glock 9mm 17-round magazine.
